Adam Vetri is a veteran creator, showrunner, and award winning director. After graduating from the University of Colorado in 1992 with a BFA, his first step towards a career in the entertainment industry was moving to New York City where he wrote, produced, and directed the independent romantic comedy, “Not Afraid to Say…” His feature was hailed by Robert Koler, of Variety as, “Following in the footsteps of Woody Allen and Seinfeld…” and Tom Shales of the Washington Post as “funny, charming, and clever…”

After taking his feature on the film festival circuit in 2000, Adam settled in Los Angeles, where his career in reality television began. His first job in Hollywood was writing and producing episodes of  Blind Date and 5thWheel. Two years later, he sold  Assisted Reality, a scripted comedy pilot to Columbia Tri-Star TV. The pilot was a comedic look at the behind the scenes of the reality dating world. In 2004, Adam received his first showrunning position for NBC’s The Biggest Loser. He was one of the original creative voices in the development and execution of what has turned into a worldwide phenomenon.

In 2006, Adam Vetri formed his production company, Livin’ The Dream Entertainment. As a director, Adam’s credits range from big budget multi-cam shows like the Emmy Award winning Amazing Race for CBS, DGA Winner in 2015 for Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge for CMT, and DGA Winner 2022 for the critically acclaimed race competition series Getaway Driver for Discovery hosted by Michelle Rodriguez, to more docu-drama series that he directed and showran such as Dare To Live for MTV, The Devil’s Ride for Discovery and Battle Tested for Discovery, to more traditional stage shows as Assembly Required for History, and Buddy vs Duff for Food Network.

Adam has been nominated for four Best Director Achievement for Reality Television awards by the prestigious Director’s Guild of America. On March 2022, he won Best Director for “Electric Shock” Getaway Driver on Discovery.  In 2015 he also won for Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge for CMT. He was also nominated in 2019 and won an Imagen Award for Best Variety or Reality Show, Hip-Hop Houdini (Fuse; 7Beyond).
